Q. Are the teams allowed to glue legos together?
A. Part of the design process is learning about strong structural designs. To emphasize this we request that no team use glue. Please see Dr. Cem Karacal's notes on good Lego structural design (at roboti.cs.siue.edu/competitions/shootout). His methods of construction are much stronger than glue when properly utilized.
Q. Can we have a wall? | |
A. In short, yes, you can have a wall. However the wall must be no larger
than 18'X 18'X 18'.
The long answer is that you may have two structures on the field. One should be your robot and the other could be another structure. Please remember that all structures (robots included) must fit inside a 12'X 12'X 12' box before the match and cannot ever exceed 18'X 18'X 18' once the match has started |

Q. I need more help. How can I contact you?
A. Please don't hesitate to contact the robotic's competition staff via cs-robots@siue.edu and we will get back to you as soon as possible! |
